Publish your website and know when it is live

Saving keeps your edits private. Publishing puts them on your public site. Here is how to tell which is which.

Where: The bar at the top of every screen, the editor's Publish button, or Website → Domain and publishing

Steps

Edit your site. Every change saves on its own; the editor shows Saved.
The status bar tells you: Your website is saved, not live yet, or Your latest changes aren't live yet.
Press Publish website (or Publish in the editor, or Publish site on Domain and publishing).
The bar changes to Live on your website. Your address now works for anyone.

Publish website / Publish now / Publish site / Publish changes	Makes your latest saved version public.
Saved	Your edit is stored. It is not public until you publish.
Not live yet	In the editor: you have saved changes customers can't see yet.
Live on your website	Customers see your latest saved version.
Copy URL / Copy website link	Copies your public address.
Open live site	Opens your published website in a new tab.
Check again	Checks your publishing status again.

Publishing needs an active trial or plan. If your trial has ended, choose a plan in Settings → Billing first.

Connecting a domain does not publish. Publishing does not need a domain; your lowmark.co address works on its own.
